The Area Operations Manager plays a pivotal leadership role within the organization, responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of a specific area. Their role typically involves a wide range of responsibilities, including the primary objectives below.

Primary Objectives

Culture: The Area Operations Manager is a staunch advocate for Family Resource Home Care's culture, which seeks to balance a family like culture of support, engagement and respect with a high-performance culture committed to operational excellence. Leadership: The AOM provides leadership and guidance to a team of managers and staff within their region. They drive the strategic direction and goals for their area, ensuring alignment with the overall region objectives.

Operational Efficiency: They are responsible for optimizing the efficiency of business operations within their area. This includes growing the business, improving processes, managing costs, and enhancing productivity. This includes supporting day to day operations in the absence of Branch Manager roles.

Financial Management: The AOM, with support from the FRHC Finance Team, and their Regional Vice President of Operations is responsible for budgets for their area. They must ensure that the area operates within budgetary expectations and seek ways to improve profitability.

Performance Monitoring: They monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the performance of the area, and provide guidance to their operations teams on how to react and adapt to changing KPIs with a focus on continuous improvement . This involves analyzing data, identifying trends, and taking corrective actions when necessary.

Customer and Caregiver Satisfaction: The AOM’s are responsible for championing a high level of customer and caregiver satisfaction within their area.

Business Partner: They act as a business partner between functional departments,, their regional teams and community partners by facilitating communication, collaboration, and alignment between different departments.

Strategic Planning: Collaborating with key stakeholders, they may participate in the company’s rate of change committee process. They develop both area and enterprise-wide strategies that support the company's growth and objectives.

Talent Management: They are responsible for hiring, training, and developing employees within their area. They must ensure that the area has the right talent to meet its operational goals.

Working Conditions

The Area Operations Manager will spend a majority of their time in an office environment indoors. This will require time both spent at a computer station for office work and standing. An additional percentage of their time will be in a variety of environments in the performance of their objectives.

The usual business hours for this role will be Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, however this role will require some evening and weekends to meet job requirements.

This position will require travel as appropriate to visit branch or HQ operations, approximately 50% of the time.

This position will have administrative supervision.
