Join our valuable financial team as an Accounting Clerk, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting operations. Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Support: Perform routine clerical accounting duties within a fast-paced finance department while adhering to established standard.
- Operational Assistance: Support accounting department procedures and practices.
- Backup Support: Provide backup by serving as a resource for Accounts Payable when needed (Managing AP mailbox, loading invoices in AP software, etc.)
- Vendor & Operations Interaction: Provide clear, uplifting, and informative responses to routine internal operational and external vendor questions; escalate complex or unusual requests to the appropriate authority.
- Document Maintenance: Execute accurate reporting, filing, and database management in multiple systems
- Month-End Closing: Support the finance team during the month-end closing process by ensuring timely and accurate documentation and processing of transactions.
- Audit & Tax Preparation: Assist in compiling financial data and documentation required for external audits and income tax preparation.
- Process Improvement: Recommend ways to enhance efficiency and both internal and external customer service.
- Data Entry & Reconciliations: Assist with data entry and management of various schedules and reconciliations
- Business License & Local/State Tax Management: Provide administrative support to the finance team by managing and filing Business Licenses and local State Taxes.
- Misc. Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department
Requirements
- Proven experience (1-2 years) in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role.
- Proficiency in various SaaS software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office suite (Specifically Excel)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced growth environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- This is a remote position. Must live in PST or CST
